Bulk Upload of Tasks

Bulk Upload of Tasks in Taskify

Taskify allows you to add multiple tasks at once using the Bulk Upload feature. This is especially useful for large projects with many tasks, saving time and ensuring consistency.

What is Bulk Upload?

Bulk Upload is a feature that enables you to import tasks from a CSV or pre-formatted template, instead of creating each task manually. Each task can include details such as:

  • Task Title

  • Assigned Members

  • Due Date

  • Priority

  • Task List

How to Use Bulk Upload

Step 1: Prepare the CSV File

  1. Download the Bulk Upload template from Taskify.

  2. Fill in the task details

Tip: Ensure that the CSV file matches the format of the template to avoid errors.

Step 2: Access Bulk Upload in Taskify

  1. Open the project where you want to upload tasks.

  2. Navigate to Tasks > Bulk Upload / Import Tasks.

Step 3: Upload the CSV File

  1. Click Upload File and select your prepared CSV file.

  2. Preview the tasks to ensure all fields are correctly mapped.

  3. Click Import to add all tasks to the project.

Step 4: Verify Uploaded Tasks

  • After the import, go to Tasks List to confirm that all tasks have been added.

  • Check assigned members, priorities, and due dates to ensure everything is correct.

Benefits of Bulk Upload

  • Saves Time: Add dozens or hundreds of tasks in minutes.

  • Reduces Errors: Avoid repetitive manual entry mistakes.

  • Consistency: Ensures all tasks have the correct format, priority, and assignment.

  • Scalable: Ideal for large projects or when migrating tasks from other systems.

Best Practices for Bulk Upload

  • Use the latest template provided by Taskify to prevent format errors.

  • Assign tasks to existing team members only.

  • Double-check dates, priorities, and task lists before importing.

  • After uploading, review tasks in the List View or Kanban View to confirm everything is accurate.

Summary:
Bulk Upload in Taskify is a powerful tool for large projects, allowing managers to quickly create multiple tasks, maintain consistency, and save time. When used properly, it enhances task management efficiency and reduces the risk of errors.
